Amy is an Associate in the London office. Prior to joining Strange & Butler, Amy worked in the antitrust litigation team in the London office of the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.

Amy specialises in international disputes with expertise in antitrust related matters. Amy has acted for a range of clients in antitrust cases before the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Competition Appeal Tribunal in the UK.

Notable experience includes:

  • Acting for a major truck manufacturer in its defence of follow-on litigation, including applications for collective proceedings, arising out of the European Commission’s decision in relation to the trucks industry.
  • Acting for Mastercard in its defence of the proposed £14 billion opt-out collective proceedings by consumers before the Competition Appeal Tribunal and subsequently the Court of Appeal, in relation to interchange fees.
  • Acting for Infineon Technologies AG in the Vodafone v Infineon & Ors High Court follow-on damages claim arising out of the European Commission’s infringement decision in relation to smart card chips.
  • Acting for Ericsson in its defence before the High Court in landmark litigation concerning the transfer and licensing of standard essential technology patents involving Unwired Planet, Huawei, Samsung and Google.
